We did same thing. Both working but wife's H1 not picked yet. 310k, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bath. May be upgrade 5 years down the lane if needed. 

What's the point of getting 500k houses and compromising on traveling, food and other more important pleasures of life, in our opinion
