So this is a fact that number 111 considered to be unlucky in cricket.

So the fact behind it is …

It resembles a wicket without balls ( the batsman is out of balls or knocked out)

As number 111 resembles the cricket stump .

It is also termed as superstitious because bad things happen at this score.

In New Zealand cricket team there is player called Nelson played first class cricket from 1874 to 1891 in both there first and last his first class innings are cancelled for just just 111.

On June 17 2018, at VOC ground in Rotterdam (Netherlands), VOC U11 played MOP (Vught) U11 in a 16 over match that ended in a very rare tie, both teams scoring 111. This is probably the first time two U11 teams score 111 in one match in an official game.

On 11 November 2011, in a match between South Africa and Australia with the time at 11:11 with South Africa requiring 111 runs to win, the majority of the crowd and umpire Ian Gould did Shepherd's leg raise Nelson for that minute with the scoreboard reading 11:11 11/11/11.
