em adaagali asalu? ekkadanna GST lo 50% center teeskuney model choosaava? that too with extraordinary rates - most of the items at 18%.

BJP oka bs party full of un/educated bigoted goons. vaallu g mooskuntey deshaaniki manchidi. smarter people should work on how to reduce GST rates, reduce transfers to the center on indirect taxes, and rationalize a better tax system that has made India the most unequal nation behind Russia at the current time.

petrol prices ekkuva untey enti? the question should be, what is govt doing with the extra money. Any special plans for investments in green tech?

They will take call as per their need, for all states tax on fuel is major income source anthuke  bringing fuel under GST ki opposing and some states are loosing out on GST compensation and center doesn't release it immediately its done only once in 2-3 months..

Andhra Pradesh not likely to reduce VAT on fuel due to financial condition

 

"We have not taken any decision on the issue yet, but it is highly unlikely that we will effect any reduction in VAT. 

Our precarious financial condition does not permit it," the official, who did not wish to be named, said. 

Andhra Pradesh is among the states with highest fuel rates in south India. 

On July 20 last year, the state government revised the tax structure on petrol and diesel, thereby increasing their price by Rs 1.24 and Rs 0.93 per litre respectively, to mop up an additional revenue of about Rs 600 crore per annum. 
Subsequently, a road development cess of Rs 1 per litre each on petrol and diesel was levied for an additional revenue generation of Rs 600 crore.

The government is now seeking to escrow the road development cess revenue to secure over Rs 2,000 crore loan from banks, while money has reportedly not been spent on road development works so far. "Forget about development, not a kilometre length of road has been repaired in the state in the last two years," Jana Sena Party Political Affairs Committee Chairman Nadendla Manohar alleged. He wondered what happened to the hundreds of crores of rupees collected by the government in the name of road development cess, besides additional taxes on fuel.

As per Indian Oil, in Bengaluru, the price of petrol on November 4 was Rs 107.64 for petrol and Rs 92.03 for diesel.
In Mysuru, petrol cost Rs 107.11 and diesel cost Rs 91.54. 
In Thiruvananthapuram, the price of petrol was Rs 106.36 per litre and diesel came in at Rs 93.47 per litre.
In Kochi, petrol cost Rs 104.20 per litre and diesel came in at Rs 91.45 per litre. 
Hyderabad saw petrol priced at Rs 108.20 and diesel at Rs 96.42. 
In Vijayawada, petrol was priced at Rs 109.91 per litre and diesel at Rs 96.03 per litre. 
In Visakhapatnam, it was Rs 109.45 per litre of petrol and Rs 95.18 for diesel. 
In Chennai, petrol came in at Rs 101.40 per litre and diesel at Rs 91.43 per litre.
In Delhi, the price of petrol was Rs 103.97 per litre and Rs 86.67 per litre for diesel. 
In Mumbai, the petrol price has been cut by Rs 5.87 to Rs 109.98 per litre and diesel by Rs 12.48 to Rs 94.14 per litre.
