Have you been to Austin. It’s one of the largest growing cities in the country now. Home value m appreciation is close to Bay Area now. Inka add Houston and San Antonio to the list. 
 

There are another smaller cities such as college station, Lubbock El Paso etc. smaller ante small em kadhu they have population of over 200k each atleast

Texas and all red states also score very bad on health indicators. So if your argument is that you don't give a fcuk about the less healthy and poor people, sure you are American already. because that's the motto on which US runs. Republicans are open about that motto.. Democrats try to dance around it, even though they do support Republicans on all major policy issues regarding healthcare.

Texas will max become a magnet for immigrants like Washington the state (heavily racist outside of Seattle, but also democrat). which will improve its appeal and its infrastructure (universities). It may also become democrat, but that is immaterial whether its republican or democrat for someone who's looking to move there.

but it can never upstage California. a peculiar type of ultra ambitious person moves into california. not the regular desk job doing types. Texas will never attract that kind of grifters. grifters who can bamboozle the entire world with their products. Just not happening. Not just Texas, I don't see any place in the world compete with California.
