No state tax in tx. Agreed. What about property tax? Its 2.5.. double lo most other states. Not to forget that most companies will give 10-20% paycut when ur moving from hcol areas to tx

Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Houston.. US top 10 cities by population lo Texas has 3, infrastructure is great in all of them

Why are you worried about abortion laws, this is from their conservative belief system, it doesn't impact impacts much at all

you are free to move to IL/CA where women can as many abortions as possible

also add quality of life cost to the equation, you will see a better deal in TX

The problem with TX compared to CA and other high tax states is property tax if abt 3%. Which means for 500k house you pay about 10k higher than in other states which has 1% rate.

If it still makes sense financially, it is definitely a good move. Especially Austin and Dallas.

what's this bs 'legal' and 'illegal'? Is it the job of the police to track illegals? Its a sick thing to do, asking papers on the streets. do you understand what makes a civilized society? basically the republican agenda of pay as you go spending (which even top democrats like Pelosi share) is one of the things that is holding US back.

republicans have long lost the moral authority to play a decent foil to the crazy spending democrats. Now republicans have no decent fiscal policy. none at all, apart from blindly cutting taxes. which doesn't help the economy at all.
