H4 dropbox - in person required?

Hi,

Interview has been waived off and need to submit all documents for H4 dropbox at Hyderabad VAC. 

Support@ustrdoc was saying that  representative from family can submit passport behalf of candidate but they have not answering properly.

do we need to submit any authorization letter( link please) or any proof identity of submitting person?

If anybody has info on this please reply.

in-person not needed .. anybody can drop it .. i dropped my wife's H4 documents in Hyd earlier this year

Someone posted in this DB doing the same thing but unfortunately they got a query and they had to travel and then did not have the Passport to do so ani vesaru .... Not sure who and what happened later on ...

We are in india and  I am only going to VAC for dropbox. My wife is in hometown and avoiding the travel to VAC due to new covid variant.

If the customs findout that there is a passport in the mail. You are dead my boy... 

Sendinf passports by mail id not legal
