investments in india is good.. if u r planning to stay there in old age.

but i would hold investing in india.. until there are property mgmt companies which can take of properties on commission base

Until the legal system is fixed forget about investing in property

Some NRI leased his apartment at manjeera homes  and it turns out tenant was a Christian preacher and stopped paying rent after 3 months and was threatening to put SC/ST case on owner.

Even lawyers suggested compromising with the tenant as no judge will take up SC/st cases and it will be delayed for years.

Owner paid money in reverse to vacate the apartment and promptly sold it afterwards

in INDIA?

you guys anyways will not come to India, and it is very difficult to sell in INDIA and bring money to US.

one home for parents to live and for you to stay when you visit them is enough.

don’t buy real estate in INDIA.

Yes we encountered similar situation recently. We hired a fellow sc/st based rowdy and g pagal kottisthe. 3 days lo vacated. In India you can’t rely on law all the time. Sometimes money and muscle needs to be exercised.

The problem is as an absentee NRI you can't do this unless you know people

In a civilised country government apparatus will take care of such problems easily without any connections
