Technically NRI's can't buy agricultural lands or plantations.  But there are so many loopholes so that you can easily buy Agri properties.

Buy it on your parents' name and get it as a gift or inheritance from your parents.

Firstly, Don’t invest if you plan to settle here in United States. If you still want to invest then aim for Shadnagar area

Y not?? As far as i know, u can buy farm land if ur indian citizen.

Well, on paper NO. As a widespread practice, yes.

On paper, it is considered a violation but there is a wide gap between the departments as to how to identify an NRI. Ministry of Ext Affairs has the data of NRI's which it does not share with state revenue departments and due to lack of data, revenue departments are not able to enforce this regulation.

Even though the world is undergoing pandemic situation the prices are not coming down similar to US ... personally I feel that it is better to wait for a few months to see how omnicron is going to effect economy and then invest unless you already have a good deal at play
