They don't even want to improve economy - they know once educated they won't vote for them Not all states have enough resources to become rich… be it ruled by dems or repubs… it is a myth that blue states are paying for red states.. rich states contribute more to the federal taxes as they generate more revenue, irrespective of the political party in power.. traditionally, red states are more business friendly and blue states are not.. number wise, there are more poor people in blue states than in the red states.. Look at the numbers in whatever you want - taxes, GDP per person, jobs, average adjusted pay and especially net in flow ( taxes they pay vs federals dollars they get ) ....red states almost always are behind blue states. I get that they are like that for a while but I hear republicans don't like people to educated or move to middle or upper middle class - as soon as that happens state turns blue...solid evidence is there.
