look up the whole song - total 5 stanzas. Only first stanza was adopted as the anthem.

It has nothing to do with the British.

Not sure how Netaji selected it as national anthem as he died in 1945, national anthem was adopted in 1950. Sare jaha se acha was rejected as it has hindostan in it. Secular country ki kudaradu ani thesesaru.

the issue is with  translation

vidatha antey God ani kadhu..all who steered this great civilization. Indulo ekkada aina  King George ni kaani british ni kaani pigidey amsamey udadhu.. this is a very big song and intended to tell the British that you have set foot on this great land.

here Bidatha means  one and everyone who are responsible for the glory we stand today..it can mea God, it can mean you as individual,it can mean all the ancestors. It doesnt refer to anyone in Particular and there is a reason he wrote it that cryptic that it satisfies one's ego

around  20-40% words are from sanskrit , but used in corrupted sense..they sound same but application is different 

Bidatha, bondhu These come from sanskrit but adaptation and usage are different

 

do you call a big house a bungalow? it means a house in bengal in bengali.. this is now used in english,telugu, hindi..what not in India
