Agreed, but this is for those who are looking for Luxury cars/Suvs. These are meant to be sold after the warranty period is over. I personally have a Honda Civic as my second car, never spent anything on it other than the regular oil changes. 

Most people, including me, cannot afford BMW/Benz in India. If we are okay to spend an extra $200 to $300 per month, we can experience a Luxury car for 3-4 yrs.

Maintenance packages for Benz are around $400 per year for 3 yrs. For BMW, maintenance is free for 3 years. Everything is covered under warranty for 4yrs/50000 miles. If we plan to keep the car for upto 4 yrs or lease it for 3 yrs, then there is nothing to worry about the repair costs.
