Tyrannosauraus_Rex Posted April 22, 2022 Report Posted April 22, 2022 I've heard some conflicting information on this but can anyone please confirm within how many days of acquiring a foreign citizenship should we be surrendering the Indian passport? Please advise. Quote

Please advise. Usually, travelling upto three times on Indian passport, when you have citizenship of other country is allowed. This is a stop gap measure. If you try to over do it you will be charged with a fine. So, you have plenty of time to surrender your Indian passport and get an OCI card. If you want be bit more rebellious person, you can manage to hold two Passports one Indian ,and other one foreign. Then the only catch is, you need to use third country to make entry and exits to India, which will be typically a visa free access country for an Indian passport holder, like say Nepal.
