Epic Posted June 2, 2022 Report Posted June 2, 2022 More than a third of Americans earning at least $250,000 annually say they are living paycheck to paycheck, underscoring how inflation is taking a bigger bite out of Americans’ budgets at all ends of the pay spectrum. Some 36% of households taking in nearly four times the median US salary devote nearly all of their income to household expenses, according to a survey by industry publication Pymnts.com and LendingClub Corp. It’s particularly true among millennials, who are now in their mid-20s to early 40s: More than half of top earners in that generation report having little left at the end of the month https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-06-01/a-third-of-americans-making-250-000-say-costs-eat-entire-salary Quote

Telugodura456 Posted June 2, 2022 Report Posted June 2, 2022 250k is barely enough with 6k taxes , 3k mortgage, 1k council taxes, 1k non-food related living expenses, 1k 529 savings, 2k 401k savings, , 2k credit card bills, 1-2k accidental bills and entertainment and travel. It all came to about 18k and 250k is just 20k. One big expense a year can easily take it off. 1 Quote

In fact if 250k is shared between a couple then make 401k savings as 4k then almost khatam. pay check to pay check. Quote
