don't speak of Shankar and Maniratnam in the same breadth. they are not close in style.

Maniratnam is trying to make movies for adults - and failing.. And I don't mean commercially. I mean the movies suck. But they do make decent money. he's comfy with that.

Rajamouli will always make movies for children. He will never grow up. No comparison.

calling Maniratnam outdated is like calling AR Rahman outdated, and that Thaman/Anirudh is the best music director because their songs have billion views.
