regex help python

ippudu I have a text field with data like below samples, and angle brackets ni < to &lt;     > to &rt;  format ki change cheyyali . regex expression tell no . This is needed in python script 

 

Sample 1: Lasku Tapa <[email protected]>

Sample 2 : Lasku Tapa <[email protected]>; Kompalo Kumpati <[email protected]>

 

Output 1: Lasku Tapa &lt;[email protected]&lt;

Output 1: Lasku Tapa &lt;[email protected]&gt;; Kompalo Kumpati &lt;[email protected]&gt;

String.Replace function will work. You don't need  a Regex
