How to understand untouchability

First of all there is no real untouchability in india. Dalits were always raped, touched when it suited oppressive castes in india. Whether it is the brahmin controlling water access to dalit women and enjoying molesting them in the novel "THe untouchable" by mulk raj anand, or is it those thakur boys who raped phoolan devi 50 times, or the innumerable times reddy or kamma or other landlords have had sex - its always there.

what we have in caste system is just another form of slavery . For some historical reasons some communities have been marginalized, their lives devalued and their work is stolen. This is obviously enormously profitable for oppressors. 

And what is unique about caste system is graded inequality and the religious sanction to it - which is not that common in world- though slavery has always been there. 

For a brahmin - even a reddy is untouchable in sanctum sanctorum of his temple, a reddy is untouchable even for renting his property. He can do anything a reddy can - become CM, own farms, own business - but a reddy cannot do what he can.

Now a reddy knows his inferior position and he is obviously not happy with it. But he is OK with it - because number 2 is not such a bad thing when you have 10 levels of hierarchy. If he opposes the number 1 too much then he may lose number 2 as well. Moreover by allowing the brahmin to have a formal number one position he not only enjoys formal number 2 but also informal number  one or the actual one position in power that matters. 

Now a brahmin too has enough common sense not to push his luck too much with his formal number one position. He knows he doesnt have enough strength or muscle to actually rule so he always side with those who can and ensure there are number 2 over the rest.

Thats one reason brahmin is always freindly to occupier forces - because he hopes through them he can be actual number not just formal number one.  whether it is mughals then or british then or bjp/comgree now. he always has fond hopes that they will come - opress others in his state and allow him to wield power. Though it does not always happen and many times he is fooled he still has such hopes.

Yes its time to eradicate all cassettes and revamp all religions. We are all equal and we need no tag names. Needless to mention there should be no incentives and reservations too on the name of cassette. End of this disco.

Xtians should stop religious conversions. This is nothing but exploitation of people for their own gains. 

Hindus should offer priesthood to other cassettes.

caste has nothing to do with religion - its form of racism. And also you use comparision as a technique to justify the worst things and never to improve.
