When we go to food places I see a lot of people asking 

can I get a xxxxxxx please 

 

but I usually say 

I will get a xxxxxxxxx, Thanks. 
 

Is it rude? Casual ga adugutunna to understand cultures 

Restaurant business is to serve what we want - so why do we need to ask ‘can I get’. It’s not like they will say ‘No I will not serve you xxxxx’ right 🤔
