Raven_Rayes Posted August 18, 2022 Report Posted August 18, 2022 this the best farcical comedy I've seen in Telugu. better than money money a couple decades ago. such attempts made in Tamil with movies like kalakalappu were cringe. couldn't watch them for more than 10mins. didn't even realise one could make an amazingly entertaining movie with farce like this in Telugu. kudos to all actors (except Naveen in some places) and the director. its nice the director is making his next in Tamil. The promo video for that was awesome. Finally Tamil is getting a good farce comedy film. after many failed attempts. 1 Quote
Raven_Rayes Posted August 18, 2022 Report Posted August 18, 2022 there's Soodhu Kavvum in Tamil, but that's much darker. Jathi Ratnalu is a breeze to watch. Quote

My favorite movie of 2021... It takes guts and imagination to conceive such scenes and execute them. Kudos to original jathi ratnam... Anudeep. Quote

I know his next movie as writer - FDFS is announced... Teaser is just okay. Quote

Don't say every thing is jabardast... If it's really that people are not fools to watch... Awesome songs , great acting by lead pair , hilarious ending, satirical comedy generated by dumb fellows (don't know the genre name )... Nag Ashwin have confidence not to sell to OTT for 3 times means he knows better than us I didn't say whether the movie is good or bad, but they started shooting without bounded script and added comedy scenes wherever they can. this is the reason most people like the film in bits and pieces but the film lacks coherence. moreover, we don't need to trust everything promoted by nag ashwin. the genre you're referring to is called screwball comedy which is meant for illogical comedy meant for gags. it doesn't work great in tollywood because we have some extraordinary filmmakers like Jandhyala and EVV who made some remarkable comedy films. we don't need to rely on cheap antics for comedy. I am fan of jandyala, evv…too.. but their style is different…this is new type comedy… Jandyala comedy style is variety తిట్లు… eev style comedy lo konchem double meaning vuntayi… this jaatiratnalu comedy is bit different…every dialogue is satire.. Again its hard to digest in first watch as we are accustomed to old jandyala, evv movies but in second watch you can enjoy… 1 1 Quote
