Xoom is owned by Paypal which is a big brand , also lot of banks like ICICI have their own money transfer apps now a days , check them out , they also give you a preferred rate if you send > 10 lakhs

try western union, we have limit of 50K but it gives better rate than xoom. (4 days to deposit though)
