software Posted August 24, 2022 Report Posted August 24, 2022 I left US couple of years back becoz dad passed way, valid stamping is there for another 4 months. 1) I am planning to return to US on h1b (same employer) - will there be any issue at port of entry. Is client letter mandatory or vendor letter sufficient. 2) I have an amendment done a month back from India, but no I-94 attached. should i go for another stamping? 3) My GC filing dates came through- but due to sudden departure, i couldn't take care of 20k credit which went to write off. will there be a credit history check? Pls provide your input. 1 Quote
HugoStrange Posted August 24, 2022 Report Posted August 24, 2022 1. no issues, as long as H1b is extended (i-797 approved) 2. no need to go stamping as u still have valid stamping for another 4 months 3. doesnt matter to immigration about ur credit card, but you will have credit score issues and getting an apartment for rent issues. As long as u got ur i-797 approved, u can start ur GC process Quote

Sorry for your Dad,s loss bro🙏 If there was h1 stamping ammendment enduku chesvau bro now you might have ro go to stamping anukunta if I am correct please check with attorney or do consultation bro tricky situation , the reason they might have given without I 94 is because yiy were out of country, If yiu get stamped I think zero issues at port of entry., but on old h1 you might have to justify Regarding credit card payment history lo emani chupistundi?? If it's absconing etc will not be good, I know they removed 944 self sufficiency form don't think they will pull credit but take attorney consultation just in case and work with banks on payment plan good luck Quote

My Orginal I-797A has validity till Jan 2023(I-94 as well). Then the amendment done from India- issued I-797B till jan 2023(same as orginal) but without I-94. My stamping was based on original I-797A. I spoke to a lawyer on avvo, his suggestion was not worry as i am legally allowed to enter till the last day of stamping. He also raised a concern, with valid h1b stamping - i should be given a I-94 with the I-797 I did some search in websites, i see mixed views on this issue. really lost 😞 Quote
