there are literal Indians who are leading rallies to fight inclusion of caste into categories of harassment.

rey picchal - you completely misunderstood. when i said as individuals it meant as in very small numbers. if blacks as community were not accepted in 400 years one must set expectations accordingly.

And moreover it is not guarenteed to "integrate" (again it is not clear what i means) if you reject your "identity".

Most people - if they can integrate - will happily integrate in to america. The resistance has always come from other side.

the crtieria for inclusion is clear - just speak the local language when you are doing commerce or public affairs. Not your vague "get along".

once they do that they are entitled to FULL legal, civic and social protection of their rights.

And where are indians "dominating" in us lol. Are they forcing americans to speak in indian languages? wear indian clothing?

the resistance comes because you try to integrate with your earlier identity intact. I don't understand the assholes who claim they are 'proud Indian' and also an american.

no amount of liberal whitewashing is going to help overcome cultural differences that are stark.

I will never be an american, btw. I hate americanness. but I will also not be an Indian. Which means I will be able to integrate into certain groups in the US. racist attacks don't matter to me. I was mocked for looking like a monkey in Chennai itself. and for being very short. racism is just one more layer on top of that. attacks don't bother me.

No you are being completely dishonest here. That's why I gave you the example of Jains and Marvadis in Chennai who do speak the local language. but have formed closed networks that keep the locals out. Today they can influence atleast two parliament seats in Chennai. and there's no prizes of guessing who they prefer to vote.

If north Indians keep the locals out, and the ruling party is okay with it, you will definitely talk about north Indian dominance in Hyd. and it would be fair too if you do.

just speaking the local language means nothing dude. unless you congregate with the locals as equals. if you follow the policy of bringing your people and dumping them in the region to increase your influence, it is colonization.
