I honestly think CBN did it intentionally to show his party fence sitters and AP people how bad things can get if Gajan is in Power, it can also buy time for him to establish Lokesh. Don't you think he has state intelligence and other survey companies would have given info that his party will not win. 
He is the one who said if Gajan gets elected Raja Reddy era will come... Now AP sees Raja Reddy ++ Pro era..

Now Jumping leaders will think twice before they leave parties.. Be with CBN and have some importance as a Leader or become a dummy by being with Gajan defending his tuglaq schemes like paytms
