I think we need GC or USC for precheck and global entry. H1B holders are not alowed.

For global entry h1b is fine

Global entry will have  tsa precheck and you dont need gc..h1b is enough

Straight TSA application - NO

But you are eligible for Global Entry with H1B and with that you get TSA. So aim high and get GE which will include TSA too.

But global entry on h1b happens in india like passport application in india..also it takes 8 to 12 months this was my experience in 2018..

 

If you have gc or usc  tsa pre is eligible and will happen in just 2 or 3 days here

Now you can apply for Global entry in US consulate (approx 8Months) and this will give you TSA Precheck too

wait for interview email.   email vachina taruvatha loacal airport lo interview date book chesukovali. that's it.

those who don't know.    TSA comes with global entry 5 yrs validity.
