Haha,  anthe antav @terminator_desi personally I don’t think this is the time for experiments. I would pay minimum down payment possible and keep the cash. Stock market might hit more lows next y

Single paycheck and working in US for last 13 years and have GC. Reason for down payments is to make monthly payments less(under 2000$)

Investing in india is okay but rupee value is depreciation will effect you, also if you invest in india you always need to depend on someone to manage property’s

cash is king if it’s in dollars

It’s double edge sword, I think we should plan/aim for dept free especially if we are on H1

I feel always good to make more Downpayments in this market so you can be debt free … for 560k mortgage you would pay 565k interest current 7.2 % interest

so for 30 yrs we pay double as interest ? also investing on home is it a good idea? rather how about we put them on blue chip stocks. If market crashes further.. I am contemplating to put on home or stocks.. for me stocks looks like its good opportunity, if we choose standard one like msft, appl.. any thoughts..

Agreed,  it's luck and timing if the boom was like 19, 20, 21 just with appreciated  value people close the first house its juts timing and luck and TS is on GC

what’s the point of putting all ur money in just one kind of investment? IMO just put 20% required for purchase and diversify the rest or wait with the cash until it is the right time to diversify

hi friends,

Planning to buy in summer next year in phoenix,AZ and planning to make downpayment of 50%.Since I making big down payment(50%), will I get lower interest rate on the bank loan? Also should I go for 15 years or 30 years loan to get better interestrate next year?

Probably u are expert of housing market I can't give much of advice to u as we had heated arguments in the past as i had need for housing of immediate need since i uad middle school kid...just I know the interest rates gonna be high atleast now in 7%s as I mentioned in feb time  ..plan rate lock if possible ahead of time..

Either way good luck..
