Planning to convert all my savings to gold and keep it for long term is it worth

Due is due for a multi year rally… solid consolidation .. dollar strong ga unde sariki its not going high

Nice plan…when things get better, you can think of other investments but risk vaddu anukunte entering gold anytime is a wise investment….you don’t really have to bother about macro economic situations or recession, gold will always hold up its value against inflation and gives you marginally better returns. 
 

Periodical investments like yearly investments chesthe, short term dips aina niku peddaga faraq padavu…

Inka better option, RBI’s sovereign gold bond scheme..

I personally don't think gold is a great idea to invest long term . Just look at the chart from last 50 years . It has not performed as good as s&p 500.

Atleast 10-15 years before , ppl used to think as hedge . Now cryptos are taking that place slowly.

Is is even bad investment if you are in USA 

You see gold rate going up in india because of the dollar dominance . So it makes some sense for ppl in india to invest in gold.

If you are loving in usa , it may not be a great long term investment. 

I would just recommend you to read takes of Warren buffet. Also Ben felix on YouTube has some good data backing why gold should not be your preferred long term investment ..

Again, I am not completely very sure about this.  I am just mentioning what I read or listened from investing gurus..

Friend bought gold (4 coins) at $2100 per oz in April.. now the value is down to $1600 per oz or so..
