Nice plan…when things get better, you can think of other investments but risk vaddu anukunte entering gold anytime is a wise investment….you don’t really have to bother about macro economic situations or recession, gold will always hold up its value against inflation and gives you marginally better returns.

Periodical investments like yearly investments chesthe, short term dips aina niku peddaga faraq padavu…

Inka better option, RBI’s sovereign gold bond scheme..

Good thinking bro

Buy $GLD ETF on pullback

Right now, gold up due to central bank buying (China, India and Russia) and weakening dollar, since last 2 weeks it almost up 300 dollars  with expectation on Fed interest rate cut on Sep 17th

When economy is bad ... Gold will go up and when economy is good ... gold go down

After Sep 17th, I guess it will drop 2% if interest rate cut is 25bps ....  if 50 bps ... then it will go up

If no cut - it will drop big but market predicting 92% probability there will be 25bps cut

I noticed that collectibles like GLD and GLDM are subject to higher taxes, even on long-term gains (at least 28%). So what's the benefit of buying them, compared to investing in something like an S&P index fund, which has a higher chance of appreciating and comes with lower taxes?
