Pls throw some light Don't go mad ,but definitely invest after your retirement and other savings in 529.pick some index funds inside 529. Fidelity is good provider . Even if your kids get scholarship, you can deduct that scholarship money from 529 and use it for personal purposes with no penalty. College cost will be kutha ramp... Also, you can change beneficiary any time. If there is excess money after your kids college, you can roll it to other kid ,grand kid or you can use it for yourself for education purposes.. Fidleity has rough cost calculator .see how much it may cost and plan to target atleast 50% of that . From last 2 years , I have a fixed $ going to my kid's 529 Quote
JAMBALHOT_RAJA Posted October 25, 2022 Author Report Posted October 25, 2022 Thanks everyone for your suggestions in this thread, what are various other options for education savings if not 529 ? Quote

Some states give tax deduction, in that case you can invest in their plans. If not , just go with fidelity 529 Quote
