I was following this conversation and you seem to care a lot about downtrodden  population. Tell me how can I help? or what are you doing to help them so that I can follow you. 
As of now all we do is donate 1% of our salaries to International organizations thinking that all that money is accounted for. We physically don't do anything. What else can be done?

atleast chinese public transit prices both their buses and metro at the same rates. Unlike India's, with casteists like you arguing for it to be priced higher because of benefits like a/c travel, which you are sure poor shouldn't share with you. lmao.

I doin't even care to look that sh1t up, coz I don't understand why you are even bringing it up now as a defense to your insistence of 'mass transit' of metro in India that carries less than 10% of trips that people make, and which constitutes more than 90% of the city transit infra budget (that the state and union govt pays for)

it looks like the Indian railways carries 3 times the passengers that Chinese one does (4times if you comparing HSR number). most likely because chinese rail is unaffordable for a section of the  Chinese, whereas Indian rail is dirt cheap and accessible to the lowest class in India.

chinese definitely have a much broader upper/middle class base than India (thanks to govt being the largest employer overwhelmingly), but the lowest section of chinese society seems to have been cut off from participating in the economy itself given the poor numbers of access to rail travel.

so in India 10% lord over the 90%.... and in China, the 40% lord over the 60% (numbers I pulled from ass).
