Amazon has 1.2+ million employees - majority of these layoffs are in HR, retail , devices etc ... 10k is normal attrition in any given month. Actually more than that quit every month .

Take it easy, don't sensationalize

May be only in near short term ... that too very little. Wallstreet knows the numbers - they are not that dumb. 1.2 Million is public figure - easy to do the math. 

It will be mostly driven by their guidance and market sentiment. 

In Meta's case, it is viewed as shift in strategy - not to invest future billions in Metaverse - that drove the market up - same reason it drove it down.

amazon hires so many employees every month. <1% every month , <10% attrition is common in retail

There is no attrition in last couple of months.. so firing is necessary. 

They also hire more anticipating the attrition  - but things turned around so fast , so all companies now have excess staff.
