Even steel and cast iron have very minimal amount of residues depending on the manufacturing practices and all. Adaithe nenu thin cheyyadam maanesa, but non stick aithe nenu avoid chesta. Intlo cheppina waste vinaru saavaru. so as much as i can, i will use steel and cast iron. Quote

The Capitalistic mindset Investment banks will pump money into so called Research Institutes and they come up with what they claim as "Best & Latest". And then Commercial companies chip-in and start mass production of goods and rub it on public. After some 20-30 years when Banks and Commercial companies are done with the business, some Prof. LongDick from FcukingBridge University (which is Ranked 69, obviously in the world) will come with proofs that "the technology we are using is responsible for 55.76% of Cancer cases" & so on. Coming to the point, yes we stopped using Teflon coated Non-stick stuff. Last time when returning from India, we purchased CAST IRON stuff (nothing to do with Blood&Breed or Cheddi castes) for Dosas and deep frying. (Mookidi). And then started enquiring about Clay,Mud vessels for cooking. In the UK, a 4-5 litre Biryani clay pot is costing £120, so got them from India carefully packing. Surely 3 take aways: 1. Stainless steel is the best for regular cooking even though wife complaints about sticky things. Use cast iron for dosas and deep frying. Use clay pot where ever you can manage 2. Avoid chemical based Teflon and other non-stick ware at any cost. 3. Avoid any version of Aluminium based stuff (even though they claim its 30% compressed). Sorry for such a long fcuking post, I really care for the health of our AFDB frens, especially you. 3 Quote
