Any known strategies to delay tesla delivery

Called tesla recently for the messages i am getting on model y delivery they said by this month end VIN generation might happen and they can only hold 7 days and then I have to take delivery I am just wondering how to squeeze delivery past December 31st into Jan so I can take federal tax credit eligibility..

 

If I don't take delivery after 7 days of Vin generation the system will automatically cancel the order..just worried on missing out tax credit..though got 3500 saving as I just missed price increase by 2 days when I ordered in may

You can tell the same.. vadu we cant hold it on will get cancelled antadu.. but it wont happen

No way … it will be cancelled and you have to rebook it … fortunately earlier this year there was no big demand i and my cousin were able to push delivery feom 2021 June  till feb 2022… now they are not honoring as year end delivery deadline +demand

Very hard. You can try putting your order on hold but they will push you for delivery to meet year end numbers. If they are lenient many orders will be on hold

Because as per inflation act that tax credit kicks in only from jan 1st 2023 deliveries not in the vehicle in 2022

Guarantee unda basu..if he cancels ordering at peak price and also waiting for long time..also it's been already six months malli order pedite ravataniki enta time pattuddo..

I thought this based off when u make final payment and take delivery ..what we paid is 400 is just prebooking does not matter much for tax rebate..as per I know it's when u get vehicle or when u make final payment.

Next year due to recession you will not have a long queue for the car. So it should be ok to cancel the order now.

After getting a model Y, my personal opinion is that it’s not worth it. Lots of road noise and stiff suspension for the price you pay.

Atleast my experience is different ..I know 30 to 40 ppl in my circle waiting on model y and ppl repenting not ordering early this year due to price increase..recession talk going on since a year but I be safe than on getting decent electric car brand new than all those used teslas ppl selling 50 to 70k miles..

What price did you order? and what is the ongoing price for that vehicle?

When I couldn't take the delivery, they assigned that VIN to somebody else and gave me next one available couple of months later. Isn't that the case?
