My honest opinion is do not to go India. if you not fall under three categories 

1. Your parents have big business and need to take care of it. Four of my friends/relatives left because their parents have business,they are taking care of parents business and started their own . It took 2 years to settle but now happy.

2. You made lot of money( I mean in million dollar like consultancy owners 25 to 30 million  )in USA and want start business in India. 

3. You are super rich in India with 100 Cr of money and pasive income of 10 lakhs monthly. 

Remaining all who want to go back India for regular office job and live modest life. Just stay in USA. Middle class life in USA is luxury, I understand loneliness but get used to it.

I see pattern that any person want to go back India to do business never returned back, people who want to do regular job  most of them returned back

nenu 2018 loo india(bangalore) ki return vachhesaa after 12yrs in UK...  I came back as there is no way i want to work during my 60s in IT and india meeda yenta leedanna koncham attachment vundi and also people seeking for early retirement india is heaven ...

I joined indian IT company in bangalore  and currently WFH from past 2 yrs..

I have 2 kids and currently in class 4 and class 6...   wife always respect my opinion so that route is always cleared..

india has advantages and disadvantages and  more or less everyone knows them...

advanatges of India which worked in our case -- availability of maids , ola/uber , instant home delivery of groceries, porter app to deliver goods anywhere , indian food everywhere , celebration of our festivals , crowds and lively atmosphere , family relatives nearby us , flexibility to choose early retirement which is tough in US/UK unless u earned big during 30s 40s.. ,  availability of good hospitals and quick appts...

so nuvve need to analyze your personal situation and do what suits u which can be either staying back or return to india..

naaku monthly roughly expenses --

normal CBSE school with fees -- 1Lakh per yer so monthly for 2 kids = 18k

Rent - 30k per month as its gated community

Groceries and eating out --  15k

electricity and gas -  2k

internet , OTT - 3k

Shopping for family -  5k - 10k

Travel -  5k-10k on average monthly as every month we dont go anywhere...

So total monthly roughly expenses for family of 4 --     80 - 85k

naaku 2 own flats vunnayi kabatti my rent is actually paid from the rents collected...

Both the countries are meant for different people.US is for people who aspire luxury life with big houses and cars.you need to work though out your life with no retirement unless you have multiple incomes and fat pay checks.For Single income its pretty hard life and retirement will be a dream.

India is a place for people who learn to live a simple life. Convenience is very high in india as everything is easily accessible by walk or though online apps. Now we have everything delivered to home including medicines and elderly take care service. Everything is readily available. All you have to do is lead a simple life. Early retirement is possible in india.

Both country's are for different people as individual priorities differ.Even in US, one should lead a simple life only then they can have some money left for themself,but this is a less known fact.

very tough decision but for some very easy decision... its all personal preference basically..
my personal opinion - you have to have either power/infuence or money to go back.
how much anedhi kastam - but like others pointed enough to make you quit 9-5 if needed and live without a lot of worry..

 

10 yrs or longer vunnaka povadam extremely difficult -  it would seem like you spend half life in India and half life in USA - so baiscally you belong to both places.  beautiful memories made in both places; thats why its tough.. 

i think whoever is thinking of this decision is not worried about present. present is good - kids school, money careers, healthcare,  socialising etc...

The fear is about future - how sad/lonely/fake/depressing it may be in usa vs how rosy it might be in India. But who know how future will be  - it may be rosy here vs fake in India. In many ways - India is amazing but at the same time the whole world is going backwards - regiionalism. religion. pokitics. freedom etc etc etc topics meedha people are dividing and developing hatred..all the rosy memories we have of India was when world was so slow paced.  betting on future India - unknown?

also, other thing is our parents left their parents too - to move from villages to town - they were lucky , they could visit ievery few months and we only get to visit every 1-2 years ....

in this punjabis are lucky , they built a huge network and parents live in both places so that problem solved for them. i also noticed punjabis travel rgularly between india and usa - they are a good example of global citizens - not Indian not American not canadian.

 i have thought about this toopic too.. simple answer is i cannot survive with my career or wealth in India and with the personal preferences I have.. so i have to keep all holes shut for the time being.

Returning india depends on wife’s if you are married, even people earned 50c are not returning. Reason wife’s don’t want to serve atha  mama. 60% fall in this category only. Migitha 40% really they want to achieve something here

Bro you cannot sustain in India if you lived here for 12 years. I went back and stayed for 2 years and came back eventually. 
 

Hyd kante edayna manchi village lo undadam best inka IT jobs mana vala kadu. Lead  simple life oka manchi 1 acre polam teskoni farming chesko. Aa life style kinminthly 50k vachina saripotayi. Ikada tensions toh healh bisket cheskodam kana adey best.

me Illu jubilee hills or banjara hills ayte ok otherwise waste cuz it’s the most happening area
