Shocking the Telangana government and CM KCR, the AP government has approached the Supreme Court over the assets distribution between the Telugu states. The AP government has filed a petition and claimed that the Telangana government is deliberately delaying the assets distribution and this is a disruption of AP’s rights.

In the petition AP mentioned that 91 percent of the assets to be divided are in Hyderabad. Even after eight years of partition, the Telangana government is hindering the assets distribution and the AP government has requested the Supreme Court to intervene in this issue at the earliest. In the petition, the AP government has stated that Telangana is delaying the distribution of valuable assets which are worth Rs 1.42 Lakh crore.

The AP government has further stated that Telangana has violated the rights of the people of AP as per Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution and Telangana has adopted a stubborn attitude no matter how much AP tried to reach out to its counterpart.

There are Supreme Court directives that only the cash reserves should be shared on the basis of population in relation to the institutions in the 10th schedule of AP Bifurcation Act. However, the AP government did not agree to this clause and approached the High Court. This case is pending while the Telangana government asked the AP government to withdraw this case.

And then there is the Sheela Bhide Experts Committee set up by the Andhra Pradesh government and it has submitted reports to the Center on 90 institutions in the 9th Schedule. The GoI played a mute spectator in resolving the bifurcation issues.

In theory definitely Supreme Court is Supreme. But its only on the paper. We all know how the courts function kadha? It takes decades to settle normal civil property matters. How can we expect this kind of issues to be resolved in  5-10 years? Moreover Yesu Reddy is forgetting that he became CM only because the courts could not come to judgement so quickly on his thousands of crores of corruption. If Jagga really get serious then KCR will rake up Yesu’s criminal cases. Just like how KCR played football with CBN on Revantham cash suit case issue
