it seems that you are not really offended by their comments, which means somewhere you know that their point is valid too.

so, the best thing you can do it take them as encouragement. once you change the way you look at it. your views about them change completely

yes, encouragement comes indirectly more from detractors and enemies even within relatives. that is why enemies are more important for our growth than friends
