Mostly he might not help you out, only because he wants the management to suffer and understand his value. Also he will make sure that they realise that it was a bad move to put him out of the job.

nothing against you or situation but its more towards that  comapny or team or manager

From my personal experience..... don't ever get into a job that you don't even know 50% of total job requirement.

oka 1 month late ayyina...... nuvve interview ichukoni pass the interview. Gee froxy la tho you may pass the interview but it will fck our confidence level. Join ayyina 1st day nundi bayapaduthu work cheyyali.

Tech meeda (atleast 50%) knowledge unte aa confidence ye different gaa untadi.

No one can help u if u can’t even get requirements… all the best tho, asking ex emp will be suicidal bcuz he hates management as well as u! He might have already figured out that u don’t know anything if he is smart

Free advice . If you are the only one and you don't know ., how do you manage if something goes south during the day and support is not available. 

Better join in tech that you atleast understand what the hell that is about.

To your question, I highly doubt the other guy helps you unless he feels that he needed that money now.  And also there is a good chance he will rat you out if he is touch with previous company ..

Continue with the support as long as you can. Sorry to say but it’s highly doubtful if you can survive there long time. Your ex colleague might reach out to the management/higher ups just to prove the point that they made wrong decisions, hence story close for you. My advice is try as much as you can with your support guy, take it week by week. Even if you survived for one week, it’s a couple of thousand dollars 💸 profit for you.
