some other criteria to manage humidity ( aka using an humidifier ) :
1)  if you feel more thirsty
2) If you snore in the night

3) feel tired , headache , nausea
in all cases above , an humidifier will definitely help to improve your health

same issue with my son too...almost every night...problem resolved now...COMED customers ki free ga humidifier iccharu...maa abbay room lo set chesa, no issues since then

I put whole house humidifier and set to ~ 40%. It will adjust based on outside temperature - maade old HVAC so outside sensor meeda dependent. 

Maree ekkuva humidity pedithe mold vache chances ekkuva - so be on the lookout
