Jagan Gives A Damn To Media In AP

The AP government is fully prepared for the two-day Global Investment Summit to be held from March 3 in Visakhapatnam.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his team have already reached the port city, which is geared up to receive investors and guests.

Officials have made arrangements to hold a two-day session during which the government will sign MoUs with investors on March 4.

The state government organized roadshows in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and elsewhere to draw the attention of investors.

The government also invited national media representatives to cover the event, and the chief minister gave special interviews to them.

However, the government did not hold any press conference in Vijayawada or provide information to local media.

The information about the event was shared with media in Visakhapatnam, but not in Vijayawada.

Furthermore, the government did not invite journalists from Vijayawada to cover the event, but offered to issue passes for journalists who reached Visakhapatnam on their own.

This is different from how the TDP government organized two summits in Visakhapatnam, where journalists from Hyderabad and Vijayawada were accommodated in star hotels and given royal treatment for three days before being brought back to their respective places.

Perhaps Jagan Mohan Reddy believed that it was not necessary to give special treatment to journalists in AP, who may be tilted towards the TDP and not unbiased.
