Charity lo selfishness untadhaaa?

Malli dhantlo kudaaa andaruuu ekadasii or some other special rojeee seyyaliii ani oka particular day rojeee aaa charity sestharuuu. 
 

Does it not defeat the whole purpose of charity? It shows inherent selfish intent even while we do charity….

I very much agree and the book selfish gene explains how donating to charity satisfies your subconscious self interest. But other people may have a different opinion that charity donations are altruistic.

Charity should be done when people is in real need like poor people who can’t afford medicine/surgery  to survive… can’t afford education even after proving in exams .. can’t afford food to eat vallaki cheyali .. that is charity for me.. temples lo eyyali to run that place like providing money to pujaris and food but not too much ..

Incorrect statement. Ee roju cheste takkuva punyam ani evaru eppudu cheppaledu. Phalana roju daanalu cheste punyam రెట్టింపు లేదా పదింతలు అని matram cheptaru, that doesn't mean don't donate other days. This theory is very well backed by puranas and vedas

Puranas and vedas should be taken with grain of salt(half of them were interpreted by dumb aholes who wants to instill fear and maintain some order(make bramhin/bapan centric donations to them by portraying themselves  as pure) 

use our common sense - donate and forget

Depends on the person .. For some its an deductible in Taxes, name/recognition in society .. For some its doing good deeds without anticipating or expecting anything in return.
