Hyd food is overhyped ba...VJW side is best

Indian restaurants add too much oil and when you put that much oil and put in the right amount of salt, everything tastes good. People want to try new every time. Also over a period of time, even if the restaurant serves same quality food, ppl get bored. Real restaurant struggles start after 6 month honeymoon period.

I have'nt seen a quality indian restaurant around East Bay (San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton). They are mostly Average or below average.

went to sarigama and savera. no complaints on tiffin items - had idli, podi idli, onion dosa and karam dosa, irani tea.

went to Mythri for some snacks and irani tea - its ok.

My relative ordered biryani, fish from some restuarant. biryani was generic but fish (pomfret ) i think was quiet good.

Then at function some catering contract make paneer butter masala, bendakai and something fry - both were very good in taste though slightly oily.

As someone who grew up in Hyd and constantly hyping hyd food from biryani to dilkush - i finally changed opinion.

Gold standard of taste is VJW region.

I had the best irani chai in Dallas not hyd, best dosa/podi idly in dallas and not chennai.

Even as a kid too whenever i had food from random place in VJW or some wedding - i noticed food was always tasty. But vjw did not have a brand comparable to hyd so no one hyped it.

Tangy endi saami...Pakistan hyd lo tinnava endi valle ekkuva tomatoes vastaru anni chicken items lo..aina me vijayawada guntur side biryani lo gongura pachadi pwdataru ga, adhi inka tangy taste kada abba

First of all Indian food in restaurants is overhyped.

99% Indian restaurants are for people doing manual labor or for those who want a free heart attack.

Uneducated people stand in line for Irani chai.

Actual Irani chai is very healthy...not the junk version that you get in desi places.

Better to go for Mediterranean or seafood places if you want to eat out.

It depends vayya. Every place. is unique.  Your reviews are biased as we dont know where exactly you tasted stuff before jumping into conclusion. It also depends on where you are born and raised like our ABCD kids may not. like biryani like us just as pizza Take it easy and enjoy everything
