Divorce ki main reason not being able to compromise. 

Unfortunately, this is mostly coming from women. Of course, men r not innocent. 

Some 25-30 years ago, elders in the family used to negotiate & make people compromise on contentious issues.

Now those people r dead & so called elders that we have now r themselves petty & egoistic. 

starting from the time of making calls for "seeking matches" to the time of marriage, there r demands....huge demands. These r unreal, greedy & ignorant demands which cannot be fulfilled.

These marriages r doomed to fail. Many will fail in the future.

Kids r the victims while the parents r the perpetrators.

There are always exceptions. This was never destined for marriage. Good for him. This girl don't deserve him.

No, do NOT take dowry. That is illegal and could have legal implications in the future.

Just take daughter's share in the property. That is fully legal and comes with peace of mind.

(equal share in the property could easily be much more than the paltry dowry they intend to pay and so, equal share in the property all the way)
