I have applied.

but no UCI generated yet.

Biometrics section says I do not need to submit them. Not sure why??

 

Anybody in similar situation??

If you have applied for visitor visa in the past 10 years and got it approved you don’t need to submit biometrics. Or else they will ask you again while application is in progress.

I have applied in the past for visitor visa. I didn't submit biometrics at that time.

My friend is in similar case but he got letter for biometrics.

We applied at same time. For me UCi is not yet generated and under biometrics it says we do not need yyour biometrics.

Confused why is that.

No idea. Glitch may be. You can write to IRCC but they will respond only in 2 weeks. Wait and see may be.
