He Encouraged Lazy Ravi Shastri Over Kumble Just Bcoz Kumble is a strict coach - am talking only about his captaincy skills he did very well in overseas tests but some how failed as a captain in all major finals or knockouts , couldn't handle pressure same case with IPL. Vinod Rai also said that Anil Kumble felt that he was treated unfairly and the captain and his teammates were given “so much importance over the head coach. He also said that, as a coach, it was his duty to bring discipline and professionalism into the team. Quote

Indian team did great in all formats except in the major tournaments under Ravi shastri.. actually we are performing bad under Rahul Dravid.. at that level, we need a better people manager than a strict school master.. also kumble coached several ipl teams and never even reached finals once.. I dont think skipping practice sessions / not giving value to headcoach is a good thing for any captain irrespective of wins/losses - You were talking about work ethics so I have mentioned that. Regarding stats KUMBLE did well too Anil Kumble (as head coach ) Tests: 17; Won: 12. ODIs: 19; Won: 13. -------------------------------------- Ravi Shastri (as head coach ) Tests: 43 matches, 25 wins ODIs: 76 matches, 51 wins Quote
