You can claim that expenses from tax benefit

For example you are running 100k and assume for name sake tax is 20% 

So you will pay 20k for typical scenario

Now assume you had some expenses (not sure on furniture electronics but some gas , rent etc anukundam for sake of it) for 20k

Now your taxable income is 80k , technically you will be only paying 16k
