Here are the steps i followed for OCI 

 

Once i got US passport for kid and ready for OCI here are the steps i followed

1.Please go to following link to start the application:
https://ociservices.gov.in/
2. please fill all mandatory details for the application
3. Uploaded documents
    1) CURRENT PASSPORT -- US passport of the applicant
    2) ADDRESS PROOF -- Utility bill uploaded
    3) PARENTAL AUTHORIZATION (IN CASE OF MINOR APPLICANTS) -             Download from online and add details
    4) LEGAL STATUS OF PARENTS (IN CASE OF MINOR APPLICANTS) -             i797/GC EAD
    5) INDIAN VISA - Same I797
    6) RELATIONSHIP CERTIFICATE - Birth certificate of kid
    7) MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE -- marriage certificate
   😎 PREVIOUS INDIAN PASSPORT OF PARENTS/GRAND PARENTS/GREAT GRAND         PARENTS--- Parent passport
4. Walgreens poyi 2 pics tesukuna
5. uploaded Pic and  Thump Print
    I used these tools to cut the correct dimensions

8. Make sure u have download and filled document number( 16,17,18) https://www.vfsglobal.com/one-pager/india/united-states-of-america/oci-services/pdf/Foreign-national-by-birth-and-never-held-Indian-passport-(minor).pdf
9. BOFA site poyi notary appointment schedule chesina.
10. Parental, Application form, document Number 16 notary cheyinchina -- Free notary, once notary done got Step 1 login to site and upload the parental form with notary.
11. Created an account  in VFS site using Application number (https://row4.vfsglobal.com/IHCUSPostalAppointment/Account/RegisterUser?q=rdeYQ16uXAbRZKGt9T+jfqn6hVw02tBdVfi6qFaYEv//yBU7zECt23Nib2bckQU++Sz1U717RL8TBDEUh9Q/mTvphd1/L7Pyki0FQMw3WpXdd/QKmYCmSHJCoCj/d0RgY+p4/zX+EXMRMVMfcwTzKgLtHoiD6yL2sPelCA8MELA=)
12. Generated Fedex shipping. Easy to send and track ( you can do and generate by urself but not much difference in the shipping cost)
13. In few days application accepted
14. after 3 weeks status shows under review with indian embassy
15. 30 days taruvatha got OCI .
