Tryad Posted September 16, 2023 Report Posted September 16, 2023 poorly written book. agree. lost all respect on him after I read this book. Quote
Tryad Posted September 16, 2023 Report Posted September 16, 2023 i think a lot of middle class (actually those elite that call themselves middle class like in this db) self aggrandizing fcuktards would like this book. it deals with all topics with a certain level of simple mindedness and delusional grandiosity that is attractive to them. this book removed all the halo my parents forced on me regarding pvnr. main thing is that he was a very poor writer in english. Nehru's letters were so well written in contrast. it wasn't much later that I realized that pvnr was a sanghi. Quote

PVNR himslef changed his name to Aanandh...so we may or may not find shekhar character in real life... but thanks for reminding this book...if possible i will revist those shekar pages...in that book again...(its been a while..) or you can serach the thread which we discussed previously..which i provided..may be we may discussed that already... Nehru's letters were so well written in contrast. it wasn't much later that I realized that pvnr was a sanghi. In the book, he was a leftist fighting against Nizam and doralu turned Congress leaders. Dunno when he changed. TBH, I haven’t read any other of his works in English. Quote

I don’t expect him to lavishly praise them. But PVNR portrayed them very poorly in comparison to his own character. What would those two have written about each other and PVNR? I don’t know how legit the allegations that Neelam goru was a feudal casteist. I don’t know how legit the allegations that Kasu goru was a corrupt schemer. Quote

I have no memory of the Shekhar character. I need to find my copy of the book from the attic next time. One thing we should not forget is the insider is not a biography. It's fiction. He did use a few of the incidents from his own life. The rest could just be fiction. As for the overall standard, it might be a little better than a Chetan Bhagat book. Quote
dasari4kntr Posted September 17, 2023 Report Posted September 17, 2023 today i spent my time with painting and biggboss…i forgot to revist those shekar pages… i will try tomorrow… Quote
