Ex-Naxals turned mafia leaders

Just a change in discussion from Babu arrest and election news.

These people were once Naxals. But they realized that they could make more money from land settlements and rowdyism. So their dalam became their gang. Their experience in warfare, terrorism, weapon acquisition, and hiding from authorities gave them advantage over other criminal gangs. Mode of operation was similar but goal was personal gain rather than overthrow anti-Communist govt.

Politicians and businessesmen feared Naxals. Remember the majority of politician murders in the state were from Naxals. Rest were from faction feuds. So instead of fighting Naxals, they would bribe Naxals with protection money, settling disputes, or commit assassinations.

Nayeem was most infamous one. But what about the others.

There was a guy named Sambashivudu who was involved in MLA murders as a naxalite. But he became Hyderabad mafia don. Pretty vicious guy until he was killed. Anyone know more about him.

Yes Sambashivudu is dangerous. He is from Valigonda mandal. His brother ramulu used to live in our Apartment in Hyderabad. Two brothers were killed very early otherwise they would have earned 100s of crores through settlements given the land prices in TG. They would easily get some good post in govt also.

Nayeem gang killed him.

TG Health mantri praised him and his brother for being icons of some BC caste while garlanding some freedom fighter of same caste.

Most of the naxal leadership was filled with criminals who were great at extortion

It was natural for them to shift to politics and mafia activities

But low level cadre were cannon fodder

It’s believed that Nayeem was behind the killing but the way they were killed raised doubts.

I vaguely remember, he is one of the prime suspect in killing Makthal MLA Chittem Narsi Reddy…I think the MLA was killed on  Independence Day..another incident, attempt to kill Kalwakurthy MLA Jaipal Yadav but he escaped with minor injuries…MLA Jupally Krishna Rao gunmen mida fire chesinaru inkoka incident Lo but gunmen got alerted and attempt was thwarted.

Why he killed that MLA? Was it for someone else or personal rivalry?
