TDP is not DMK. Even though both family parties, DMK has strong cadre system. They have powerful district secretaries that control certain regions.

TDP has Nandamuri fan club and caste sangams as their “cadre”. Sandranna killed second tier leadership and everything is centralized around the family. It ran alright when prime cunning Sandranna in charge. But now the effects are seen.
