yeah he offered a way out for uppercaste kids to distinguish themselves from the riff raff by joining IT. Otherwise, I think there would've been a civil war in India. Its not that easy to control raging upper middle class losers who are convinced that they deserve the best in life.

ofcourse now IT services have opened up for everyone. The above group have moved on to startups, running one scam after another.

I find it really stunning that rich people have zero shame nor a sense of insecurity, while taking active part in fcuking scores of people's lives.

I'd think a million times to buy an independent house.. what if a mob attacks me, and how do I escape from that?

atleast if I was in a skyscraper, I can probably parachute myself into temporary safety while I work my options.

I don't know what's your measurement of talent. But Sudha Narayana Murthy is an MEng graduate from IISC.

There are 3 major IT companies in India. TCS, Infosys and Wipro. Other 2 companies also fit in to your narrative?

an MEng graduate from IISc that writes children's books. no thanks. Its not just I, she herself probably thinks she has no talent, that's why she settled for cringe children books, and pretending to be simple middle class women, while backing sanghi govt.

add HCL too. random old assholes I used to meet in Chennai were claiming that they used to teach Shiv Nadar, and how he was a precocious child. made me wonder how when he lived most of his life in Delhi. anyway I didn't even care enough to check.

My take on it..for most people entered in to work force 15+ years Job was too precious to loose. It is life for them. For many their first salary is at least twice as parents salary.

For many younger kids, their salary initial salary is just double of their pocket money in college. They have safety net. They don't treat work as life. They have life beyond work.

regular lament of industrialists in India - Indian labour force is pampered and its very hard to hire and fire. ofcourse, they'll never lament their lack of talent and vision in expanding products they offer or in capturing new markets.

Murthy is just applying this to the IT service workers. The startup bros are already working 80+hrs, running regression analysis over and over - if you call that work.

Just an FYI - I never defended BJP or any other political party. I won't defend too. I don't have strong political affliation to political party. In the other thread I was defending that India is democratic and secular.
