I don't know about the bill vuncle.

my place has room temp but I use it sometimes as it feels good with the heater and I see only a couple of bucks go up on my monthly bill like 5 difference.

the cheapest way to beat cold is to layer up. Wear a sweater or jacket or both. It's what I see some FT employees who own houses WFH wear in teams meetings

layer up ... for legs have thermal pant on or a hoops short then thick sweat pant ... for top t shirt - inshirt in to pant ... then hoodie ....

for feet ... woolen socks ... this can get through any bad winer ...
