Why would you go to jail if you pay them atleast the minimum wage?

When people bring a nanny, i expect them to come the legal way. Domestic help category vundi kada!

I remember the Khobragade incident. She did not pay the minimum wage, did not limit her working hours nor gave holidays, and abused her as well. She also lied on the visa application about pay. Way different!

She is a diplomat and she has diplomatic immunity. Under special provisions, she could hire domestic help from her home country but the same was not accepted by the local police and hence the case. Domestic help ki payroll run cheyaantha varaku it will be illegal and without SSN, payroll run cheyalev, it ataracts multiple counts. She contested she paid the maid in Indian Rupees and that's what was agreed upon but US argues it has nothing to do with Indian agreements.

Coming to the domestic help category, I remember that it is only for US Citizens and under special circumstances. I don't think TS falls in this category and other popular route is visit visa and that's where it becomes tricky.
